JobFitMatters is pleased to announce that Mr. Tim McAboy has been named Principal of Wheaton Christian Grammar School, effective in July 2014.
Tim comes from Taylor University (IN) where he has served as Assistant Professor of Education and Director of Student Teaching, focusing on teacher development, early and adolescent literacy, curriculum development, and training teachers to work effectively with parents. Tim served as elementary principal (grades 4-6) of Lexington Christian Academy in Kentucky from 2001-2012, teaching at the fourth and fifth grade level. His background also includes missions work in Taiwan.
Head of School Steve Clum shared, “We are encouraged with Tim’s heart to serve the students, teachers, and parents of our school. He places a high value on building relationships and investing into the lives of others. We look forward to the contribution Tim will make in carrying forth and helping move forward the excellent academic tradition of Wheaton Christian Grammar School. Most importantly, Tim and his wife April are devoted followers of Jesus Christ.”
Tim earned a BA in Social Science and Elementary Education from Spring Arbor University, and an MA in Education from the University of Kentucky where he is pursuing doctoral studies in curriculum and instruction. Tim and his wife April have three children—Joey, Grace, and Lily—who will enroll at WCGS this fall.
