JobfitMatters is pleased to announce that Jason Spears has joined SparkHope Automotive as CEO following a months-long search.
Jason brings a deep passion for ministry, leadership, and community impact, alongside more than 20 years of nonprofit leadership experience across Colorado’s Front Range. A Colorado native, he joins SparkHope from Cru, where he and his wife, Nicole, have served with Cru City, engaging the community through relationships, innovative approaches, and meaningful partnerships. Nicole will continue her work with Cru City.
Throughout his career, Jason has built strong teams, coached leaders, cultivated donors and partners, and launched community-centered initiatives, including Erie’s “Breakfast with Dad,” which now serves hundreds of dads and kids each year.
A relational and mission-driven leader, Jason is especially drawn to SparkHope’s work supporting single moms and families with practical, hope-filled solutions. He and Nicole live in Erie with their three daughters, Izzy, Oakley, and Cora, and are eager to continue serving families across the region through SparkHope.
JobfitMatters consultants Laura Coverstone and Ed Poff were honored to partner with SparkHope Automotive throughout the search process to identify leadership priorities, Christ centered ministry fit, stakeholder engagement, and candidate evaluation through sourcing, interviews, reference vetting, and JobfitMatters’ SIMA® assessment process.
“Jason’s leadership and heart for community perfectly align with SparkHope’s mission,” said Guy Cascella, Chairman of the Board of Directors at SparkHope Automotive. “We are thrilled to welcome him as we continue empowering single mothers to achieve stability and thrive.”
