Slavic Gospel Association (SGA) serves in Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, Armenia, the Republic of Georgia, and Israel. Each country has a unique history and culture, and Russia contains more than 130 people groups. Slavic Gospel Association supports indigenous believers in their efforts to evangelize and plant churches, provide solid Bible training for pastors, reach and disciple orphans and youth, equip churches with Bibles and curriculum, and provide humanitarian aid to the people of Russia.
The next leader needs to have a passion for and knowledge of Russian culture, and have a servant’s heart….a heart for winning the Russian people’s souls for Christ. This person should also be a proven fundraiser who can strategically lead and grow the domestic and international teams toward the mission. In a rapidly changing world, this leadership position calls for quick responses, flexibility in dealing with new challenges, and listening to the local leaders to meet their changing needs.
