Kingswood Home for Children Executive Director

Title: Executive Director
Location: Bean Station, Tennessee

For more than 80 years, Kingswood Home for Children — a private, Christian, residential institution — has faithfully cared for vulnerable children. Dedicated to nurturing children physically, academically, emotionally, and spiritually, over 7,000 children have been welcomed “home” to Kingswood throughout its ministry. Unlike many other organizations, Kingswood Home for Children operates without state or federal funding and relies solely on the generosity of donors, supporters, businesses, clubs, and churches. This generosity allows Kingswood to provide services to children aged 5-18 at no cost to their families.

Building on this rich heritage, Kingswood is uniquely positioned for growth, both in terms of filling the children’s cottages to capacity and stewarding the expansive campus to continue the Kingswood mission long into the future. Currently, several existing structures on the property are being renovated to provide further ministry and revenue-generating opportunities.

Kingswood is actively seeking its next Executive Director to lead the ministry into its ninth decade of service with a shared commitment to healing and empowering vulnerable children and families. This person will be an experienced leader who embodies missional, relational, executive, and innovative leadership strengths. He or she will have experience in guiding organizations dependent on major donor revenue streams and will demonstrate innovative and entrepreneurial strengths for maximizing campus and ministry stewardship. The next Executive Director will develop and lead the Kingswood team, systems, and processes to cultivate team flourishing and maximum ministry impact. Integral to this role will be an engaging and resilient ability to balance attracting, developing, and retaining the staff and volunteers while empowering excellence in operations and mission-driven initiatives. This leader will possess a deep passion and calling to the ministry of residential childcare, fully embracing Kingswood’s Christ-centered mission.
