Kids Alive International Board Appoints Corbey Dukes as President

Kids Alive International is pleased to announce that Corbey Dukes has accepted the position of President. The Board of Directors voted unanimously to call Dukes effective August 1, 2020. Kids Alive International is a Christian organization that rescues, redeems, and restores young lives to wholeness and freedom by providing physical and spiritual care for orphans and at-risk children, with offices in 12 countries.

Dukes has held various leadership positions in the corporate world, as well as serving as administrative and missions pastor in Pawley’s Island Community Church in South Carolina. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer and Electrical Engineering and an MBA from Clemson University, and an M.A. in Religion from Liberty University. Dukes is married to Janie and they have two adult daughters.

Since January 2009, Dukes has served as Country Director of Kids Alive Guatemala. His passion for justice and healing for children who have been left shattered by abuse is well-known to the authorities in that country and has been an inspiration as he has pioneered innovative interventions for abused and exploited girls.

Tommy Thomas and Suz Grimes of JobfitMatters assisted the Kids Alive through a robust search process. They provided a number of experienced candidates and wise counsel throughout the search. “Kids Alive drew an amazing pool of candidates”, said Tommy Thomas. “We had candidates from several of the leading NGO’s who work in the child abuse and child trafficking sector”.

Board Chair, Sheri McCurley shared that Dukes is clearly God’s man for this next season of growth and transformation for Kids Alive. “God has wired Corbey’s heart for vulnerable children and families, and He has gifted Corbey to think strategically, systematically, and culturally to create teams to ‘take on giants.'”
