International Christian School of Vienna Names Director Siebert Myburgh

JobfitMatters and the Board of the International Christian of Vienna are pleased to announce the appointment of Siebert (“Seppie”) Myburgh as the next Director, effective July 2024.

Myburgh comes to ICSV with more than a decade of executive management experience, including seven years at Morrison Academy in Taiwan and five years at El Shaddai Christian School in Cape Town, South Africa. Overall, he has more than 20 years of experience as an educator.  His leadership has been described as “cultivating a school culture where faculty is inspired to pursue high standards, students are afforded opportunities to discover their interests/passions, and where everyone is encouraged to create a caring community.”
Myburgh was selected from an extensive list of candidates in a worldwide search conducted by Laura Coverstone and Ed Poff of JobfitMatters. Search Committee Chair Brad Hunter commented, “We are so grateful for the Lord‘s provision, and for the excellent services of Laura and Ed. They helped us find top candidates from around the world and led us through the whole process. We would highly recommend any Christian school use JobfitMatters for their search.”

Myburgh holds a Master’s Degree in Education from Indiana Wesleyan University and graduated with a certificate from the Principals’ Training Centre for International School Leadership.  He has been married to Quirina for almost 30 years, and they have three children who reside in South Africa: Benjamin (26), Liesje (23), and John-David (18).

Myburgh believes that ICSV occupies a special place and has been given a unique calling to clearly articulate the Christian gospel to the nations. “I am excited to join this community of handpicked believers and to humbly and joyfully serve the Lord together.”

The mission of the International Christian School of Vienna is to provide high-quality, individualized education, equipping students with Christian character to impact the nations of the world.
