Decatur Heritage Christian Academy is an independent, non-denominational, K-12th grade Christian school serving 324 students in the Huntsville/Decatur, Alabama area. Since its beginning, DHCA has combined advanced academics, strong athletic programs and a non-denominational Christian environment to provide students with a well-rounded educational experience. Decatur Heritage’s campus boasts over 82,000 square feet on 50 acres. The ideal Head of School will lead creation of the next iteration of Decatur Heritage – DHCA 2.0, if you will. This person will be able to help craft a new narrative, shape new offerings, in a cultural and economic context which is rapidly changing. The next head can help DHCA offer Christian education as it needs to be offered in the 21st century, supported by a board that understands and practices long-term and strategic thinking.
