Calvin Theological Seminary President

Location: Grand Rapids, Michigan

Calvin Theological Seminary invites a gifted Christian leader to serve as its next President, building upon 150 years of distinctly Reformed theological education and faithful service to Christ and His Church. Located in Grand Rapids, Michigan, Calvin Seminary prepares men and women for biblically faithful and contextually effective ministry while providing Reformed theological scholarship and counsel to the Christian Reformed Church in North America and the broader Church. The Seminary enters this transition from a position of meaningful strength, with committed faculty and staff, recent enrollment growth, strong donor support and financial resources, expanding residential, hybrid, and online programs, and a beautiful campus shared with Calvin University.

The next President will provide spiritual, theological, strategic, and executive leadership during an important season in the Seminary’s life. Calvin seeks a mature Christian leader with deep commitment to Scripture and the Reformed faith, theological and academic credibility, significant senior leadership experience, a pastoral heart, and the relational wisdom to build trust and strengthen collaboration. This leader will steward Calvin Seminary’s confessional identity, deepen its vital partnership with the CRCNA, cultivate a compelling vision for its future, strengthen relationships with students, faculty, churches, alumni, and donors, and help prepare the next generation of wise, faithful, and effective leaders for Christ’s Church.
