JobfitMatters Executive Search is pleased to announce the appointment of Rev. Dr. Chad T. Pierce as the next Executive Director of Camp Roger following a comprehensive national search. Pierce brings more than 20 years of experience in pastoral leadership, Christian formation, organizational oversight, strategic planning, and community-based ministry. Most recently, he served for more than a decade as Senior Pastor of Faith Christian Reformed Church in Holland, Michigan, where he provided spiritual and organizational leadership, supervised staff and budgets, guided long-term initiatives, and helped the congregation respond to changing ministry and community needs.
Pierce’s leadership experience also includes service as Board President of the Holland Free Health Clinic and as a board member for Camp Geneva and Holland Christian Schools. Through these roles, Pierce has contributed to organizational strategy, financial stewardship, fundraising, capital initiatives, Christian education, and the governance of outdoor ministry. Pierce is an ordained minister and experienced educator who has served as a professor at Central College and Calvin College, as well as an adjunct professor at several colleges and seminaries. He holds a Ph.D. in Early Judaism from Durham University, a Master of Divinity from Western Theological Seminary, a Master of Arts from Jerusalem University College, and a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Calvin College.
Throughout his career, Pierce has demonstrated a commitment to creating communities in which people experience genuine belonging and encounter the love of God. He was particularly drawn to Camp Roger’s mission of encouraging children and families to encounter God through relationships and experiences in Creation, as well as its commitment to reducing barriers so that more children can experience Christian camping. Search Committee Chair Luke Brandsen commented, “We are incredibly excited for the organization’s next chapter with Chad stewarding our mission.”
