JobfitMatters and Belmont Church (Nashville, TN) are pleased to announce two key hires: Ben Stewart has been appointed as Executive Pastor and Paul Anthony Gonzalez has been selected as Belmont’s Teaching Pastor. They join Belmont’s five-member Pastoral Leadership team designed to maximize each individual’s strengths and not place sole leadership responsibility on one pastor.
Ben Stewart comes to Belmont Church from his role as Executive Pastor at Christian Life Center in Chicago, Illinois where he oversaw all ministry, finance, and campus development for a multi-site church of 1600+. Ben and his wife, Nili, have eight children and began serving at Belmont in March. Ben shared, “The opportunity to serve alongside a ministry that has reached the local community and the world for over 100 years is humbling and exciting. We are already blessed by the acceptance and the enthusiasm of the church and looking forward to many years of ministry together.”
Paul Anthony Gonzalez has served since 2003 as the Senior Pastor and Founder of Freedom House Church in Amherst, Ohio, growing the church to the point of purchasing property. Paul and his wife, Amy, a registered nurse, have nine children. They will be fully transitioned to Nashville by early August.
