Dutton Christian School Selects Witvliet Head Administrator

JobfitMatters Executive Search is pleased to announce that Mark Witvliet has been appointed Head Administrator of Dutton Christian School in Caledonia, Michigan, effective July 2018. The Search process began with over 70 candidates, but it became clear that Mark was unquestionably the individual best fit to serve as the next Head Administrator of DCS.

Mark is currently serving at Redlands Christian School of Redlands, California. After graduating from Calvin College, Mark went to Redlands Christian as a middle school math, Bible and physical education teacher in 1997. He became an Assistant Administrator of grades K to 8th in 2004, and became Principal of the middle school in 2008. While working, he successfully obtained a Masters of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies from California State University and a Masters of Education in Educational Leadership from Calvin College.

“Mark has an exemplary track record of growth with increasing responsibilities and the experience and skills needed to lead DCS in continuing to provide an excellent Christ-centered education. We are very excited to have Mark join us,” shared DCS Board Chair Steve VanLaan.

Mark grew up in West Michigan where he had current DCS Head Administrator Dan Netz as his principal at Jenison Christian School during his elementary years. Mark is married to his wife, Laura, and they have three school-aged children. Jacob is a sophomore in high school, Sarah is in 7th grade, and Allison is in 3rd grade.
