Laura Coverstone and Ed Poff of JobfitMatters assisted Central Christian School with this search. Upon accepting the position, Murray said, “It is with great excitement that I accept the Board of Directors’ call to serve as Central Christian’s next Head of School. Viewing each student as a unique image-bearer of God, the school models amazing diversity as it seeks to fulfill its mission to prepare students for the 21st century. It is for these reasons and more that I look forward to joining Central’s Christ-centered, academically challenging community — one that instills a passion for God, a love of truth, and a zeal to serve.”
John and his wife, Barbara, have four children: Andrew (16), Mary Stuart (14), Kingsley (13), and Sarah Cate (10). We are excited to welcome them to the Central Christian School family.
The appointment of Murray was recently endorsed by former Head of School, Josh Crane, ” I have known John for twenty years, and he is one of the best men in the Christian education business in this country. CCS is truly blessed. John is godly and kind and possesses a keen understanding of what excellence in Christian education means.”
Murray will join Central Christian School in the summer of 2014.
