World Vision USA Selects Edgar Sandoval as Chief Operating Officer

Edgar Stanoval

JobfitMatters is pleased to announce that Edgar Sandoval has been selected as World Vision U.S.’s Chief Operating Officer, reporting to President Rich Stearns beginning in July. In this newly created position, Edgar will deepen the WVUS leadership team, strengthen the World Vision brand, and help World Vision U.S. execute its strategic plan. All of which will enable Rich to invest more time in external affairs, including writing, public speaking, and partnership development.

In his role as the Vice President and General Manager of Global Feminine Care for Procter and Gamble, Edgar has made it his mission to advocate for and empower women all over the world to live life to its fullest potential. The “Like a Girl” ad during the Super Bowl was part of Edgar’s impressive work at P&G, where he has worked the last 20 years in positions of increasing responsibility. Edgar previously held the roles of Marketing Director of North American Fabric Care and Vice President of North American Marketing and Multicultural Business.

Born in southern California but raised in Guatemala and Venezuela, Edgar graduated with honors from the Rutgers School of Engineering and earned his MBA at the Wharton School of Business. Edgar and his wife, Leiza, have four children and currently live in Cincinnati where they have played a special role as marriage coaches and small group leaders through their church and local ministries.

“Edgar brings a strong brand and consumer marketing background to World Vision from his 20 years with P&G,” says Rich Stearns. “But most importantly, Edgar is a man of faith who feels called to use his exceptional skills to invest in God’s Kingdom. We are thrilled that Edgar and his wife Leiza have chosen World Vision as the place to invest those talents.”
