Tzeng and Godwin Appointed to Pastoral Positions at Central Presbyterian Church

JobfitMatters and Central Presbyterian Church (St. Louis, MO) are proud to announce two key hires: Ben Tzeng has been called as Pastor of Evangelism and Community,a new position for Central, and Charles Godwin has been selected as Pastor of Congregational Care. They join Senior Pastor Clay Smith, who began in his role at Central Presbyterian Church in February 2017 after a thorough search led by JobfitMatters.

Ben Tzeng has spent the last 7 years as co-lead pastor of St. Louis Chinese Gospel Fellowship in Ballwin. Ben is passionate about seeing God save lost souls, and then walking with them as they enter into the church community. He is married to Annie and together they are the parents of three children: Emmaus (8); Jemima (6); and Titus (3). Their children attend Central Christian School, so the family is already familiar with the Central community. Pastor Ben will begin serving at Central in early February 2018.

Charles Godwin comes to Central from his Executive Pastor ministry at Restoration Presbyterian Church in Lawrenceville, Georgia near Atlanta. Charles and his wife, Pam, have a love for St. Louis which dates back to their time at Covenant Seminary, and Charles is thrilled to be joining the ministry team at Central where he can fully use his God-given gifts of pastoring and shepherding. Charles and Pam have three children and will be transitioning from Atlanta after Easter.

Tommy Thomas, Laura Coverstone, and Ed Poff of JobfitMatters assisted the two search committees in these searches. Executive Administrator Tim Page shared, “To say that we are elated about the results of JobfitMatters’ work to bring Ben and Charles to Central would be an understatement. There is a great buzz of excitement at Central, and we are thankful for how God has used you to be part of it.”
