Church of the Nazarene Global Ministry Center Selects Sawyer as Chief Administrative Officer

The Church of the Nazarene Board of General Superintendents is pleased to announce that Bill Sawyer has been selected as Chief Administrative Officer of the Global Ministry Center for the denomination. He began his role in May.

An ordained elder in the Nazarene Church, Sawyer comes to the GMC from his role as Vice President and Enterprise Leader of Financial Services for TransUnion in Chicago, Illinois.  He has held various business development and digital marketing, leadership and vice president roles at TransUnion since he began in 1998.  In his most recent role, he lead a team of vice president, directors, and principals who managed market analytics, advanced decision sciences, business development, data engineering, and implementation teams.

In this CAO role, Sawyer will lead the Global Ministry Center (GMC), the administrative hub for global outreach of the Church of the Nazarene.  With his significant experience leading and managing complex organizations, Sawyer is looking forward to using this talents to serve the global church. “I am excited to see how God is going to work in and through me in my new responsibilities at the Global Ministry Center,” said Sawyer of his appointment.

Sawyer earned a B.S in Business from MidAmerican Nazarene University and a Masters in Theology from Fuller Theological Seminary.  His is currently completing a PhD in Organizational Leadership from Regent University.
